Bereavement22

At the NES Bereavement Workshop, 24 November 2022, we held breakout sessions where participants in groups of about 5 looked at potential content (poetry/art/writing/film/music) for the site with a broad theme of bereavement. The aim was to find pieces that could be useful to the bereaved, or to staff working with the bereaved. Below is the output from these sessions.

Neil Turner and Eleri Williams

Group 1

Stop all the clocks – WH Auden

Group 2

The doctor – Luke Fields

Group 3

This overdose was different – Utsha Khatri

Group 4

Group 6

At the end of the session, back at this page you will be able to see what was produced by your own and by other groups, both from those who had something different to look at, and by groups who had the same work as you.

Afterwards, we’d love to hear from you if you are interested in seeing and doing more.

  • Might you be interested to take any of these further? We may write some up as substantive entries for the website. We could do some online discussions. Or you could.
  • There will be a Scottish Medical Humanities conference in Aberdeen and online on June 2023.
